13 Places You Can Share Your Blog Post to Boost your Traffic

Here’s a quick list of 13 places you can add your blog post for more traffic. Consider where your audience hangs out and choose a few that make sense for you!

Email Signature

Add a link beneath your signature highlighting your latest blog post.

Email signature

If you regularly send emails to your list, there are endless ways to add your blog post to it. I’ll give two examples. You could add a longer, juicy quote and ask them to “Read More”. Or, you could write a story about what inspired you to write your post giving them a reason to want to click through.

PS in Your Newsletters

I don’t know about you, but I tend to scroll through a whole email top to bottom before I start reading, and a PS always grabs by attention. Especially when emojis and a fun headline are used.

Instagram bio link

This is prime real estate on Instagram. Use your Stories and Grid posts to point people to the link in your bio.

Instagram Stories

If you have 10k followers or a verified account, you can add your link to your Stories. Be sure to give people a reason to leave the platform. If you don’t have this feature yet, read on to the next point.

IGTV Link

If you don’t have 10k followers yet, never fear! You can still add a link to you IG post. Specifically, an IGTV post. Create a short video (doesn’t have to be your face!) and upload to IGTV with your Title, Description and Link.

Publish on Medium

You can publish your blog post to Medium which posts in a way that won’t hurt your SEO from duplicate content. You have the potential to reach a vast new audience.

Contact other Bloggers for a Roundup Post

Link to other bloggers in a roundup post and let them know you’ve featured them. They’ll likely create a post showing off their feature, which is a great way to get in front of new audiences.

Facebook Post

Your business Facebook page is a great place to add a link to your blog post. I’d take it a step further and break up some blog content by adding graphics with quotes, maybe a video that goes over the general idea of your post. The point would be to get a little mileage out of your blog post as far as Facebook content goes.

Pinterest Pins

Pinterest is a fantastic place to generate traffic. Be sure to add an optimized Pinterest image to your post and pin it on your relevant boards. You could take this tip and really run with it because Pinterest is used as a search engine. Your Pins are more “evergreen” than a Facebook post. Don’t forget, you can create several different Pins for a single post!

LinkedIn

Create a post on LinkedIn with a link to your post. Don’t forget to use a few hashtags!

Twitter

A simple Tweet with a link works well especially if you can stop the scroll with an attention-grabbing statement or graphic.

FB Groups

Many groups don’t allow self-promotion, so don’t break rules by throwing your link up in a Facebook Group. A better approach that is usually okay with group owners (read the rules!) is to comment with an answer to posted question and add your link only if it’s a helpful resource.
